The Mission

With the help and support of Haywood County, our mission is to build an 8,000 square ft. “all-inclusive” park connecting to the existing playground at Volunteer Park.With the help of Mr. David Jones of Mid-South Recreation in Memphis, Tennessee, we have designed a park that will serve all people, including those with special needs.The theme of this park will be a “tribute” to the everyday heroes of Haywood County. Panels will be incorporated into the playground displaying unique historical and current facts about our region, thus creating an educational factor into the project.Our end goal is to talk with as many people as we can about this special park, especially children. We hope that the people of Haywood County will support this project and that what we have created as a “Park of Dreams” will be of great significance to everyone, but especially those families with children living with disabilities.
